For S/S 11 Louis de Gama continues to work with the feminine silhouette, mixing texture and fabric in a ethereal way in view to create beautifully crafted dresses.
Louis has collaborated with designer Olivia Pradel developing the concept, which consists of taking on the geometric shape of a full circle, segmenting and inverting its assembly in order to create a draped volume silhouette.
One of Louis’ influences came from the organic form of a flower and subsequently the deconstruction of its petals. Bodices are kept tight for a flattering shape and are complimented with stitched on peter pan collars. The lower body is of contrasting form with the use of half circles as well as featuring a baby doll explosion of voluminous silk. The collection has a magical feel conveyed through the quality of the fine silk chiffons and lace, to the delicate craftsmanship of each garment.
Louis‘s signature fabric choice of fine leathers, delicate silks and antique lace is again revisited to create the balance between structured femininity.
S/S 11 colour palette is light and sophisticated, using pastel greens and purple lilacs to compliment the use of beige and black.
