For A/W07 Louis continues his love affair with the feminine silhouette. A/W07 comprises three themes: Femininity, Creative Tailoring and Vintage attire.
The first theme is a development of the past seasons: Floaty chiffon panels held by high bodices constructed with leather straps and panels that contour the silhouette. Again, delicate French lace and fine satins were the prime materials.
The second theme has challenged Louis to modernize the traditional British 'birds eye' wool fabric into suppressing seams onto coats, trousers and waistcoats.
The final section of this season’s collection was inspired by early 19th century 'broderie anglaise'; vintage Persian necklaces and infused with skull studs on leather for a modern twist. The silhouette here is a balance of tight bodices and voluminous skirts.
